Dubai and on the way to India ( Bombay)

Dubai Airport departure area ( very fancy)

Egypt?? No, a SPA in Dubai

In Bombay ( Kukki 's (my brother) remodeled home...very modern and posh

This morning our hosts decided to treat us to a spa before moving on to the main part of the YATRA. The SPA was Egyptian theme and they have not spare any detail to make it feel  and  look like the authentic Egyptian Palace spa with modern conveniences. Outside as well as inside looked and felt very opulent.

We got the massage there and soaked in the infinite spa and sauna. The ambiance were excellent so was the service. We saw lot of Burka wearing women come in for the massage etc. They do have totally separate sections for men and women. You see most women in upscale areas wearing  Burkas, may be because the rich people are local citizens ( mostly) and expats are mostly working middle class and the laws are not too user friendly so people may be saving and investing in the “mother” country.
In any case, after the spa we were so relaxed that I totally missed my  “  reach  three hours before departure time “ rule but got to the airport in time to walk around , admire the glistening airport. The flight was on time , saw a very “traumatizing movie “ BOL” on flight. It's about the suppression of women in the Muslim world ( do not mean to make a generalize , but that was the movie about)  .
They did the “spray” thing in the plane before landing and this time we asked why? No one in the world does this spray except India and the irony is , “ it is an insecticide spary” as if they are afraid to import more mosquitoes ??
Bombay airport has changed dramatically. It is streamlines , efficient and courteous and clean.  Do not get me wrong, it is no Dubai but still it is functional and a major improvement . The hordes of men shouting outside seemed to have reduced a lot ( may be because I was not that tired ) but it was 10% of what I remembered from before. My nephew was waiting and brother pacing nervously outside waiting .
Driving through at night, my first impression is that even though the airport has changed the streets are the same old stuff.  But, Kukki ( my brother) home is remodeled and is very fancy  , imported marbles and all sorts of modern fancy stuff. I will send some pictures later. AND IT IS HUGE…we have a whole suite to ourselves.  We had a delicious Indian meal at 11 pm and sat around and talked.  I saw my  grand niece ( four years) for the first time …more pictures to come.
No WIFI in their home , so no blog last night. We will stream line the process today. Till then good night.
