Pre- Yatra Day -1

Mahayatra is an epic journey or a pilgrimage. Any trip to India is a Yatra and after over five years it is full of emotions and anticipations. I am looking forward to seeing family, my long lost friends and three GIRLS" marriages  but am concerned about the 15 hour flight as well as my health. Emirates is the best rated flight right now with 3" more leg room than other airlines and excellent service. I will report on that tomorrow.

The day is spent making a list and checking it twice. Emirates airline lets you take two suit cases each , good news you say,  but it just means more shopping and more carrying stuff around. One suitcase is full off American things made in China. Things like, Salad Dressing, Fruit loops, Gummy bears and of course chocolates. We are taking  gifts to India that are ," American"  and are made in India or China.

Check list of Malaria Pills, Antibacterial wipes, water purifier, Imodium, Benedryl  etc. Big question right now is do I wear the same Sari for all three weddings?? I am leaning towards begging and borrowing and just plain not taking any from here. Went out for a good bye dinner with Anupam, Theresa , Shalini and Xiaoyun at a small noodle house. Had great laugh trying to set up Skype with the family.
 Iwill try to sleep now even though it is hard.
